Green School Rain Garden
Rain gardens + infiltration trenches to capture runoff and prevent flooding.
Harvest Blue partners with NGOs and schools to deliver practical sanitation and rainwater harvesting solutions.
Our projects have three core goals:
(1) Safe, private toilets — especially for girls, including menstrual hygiene facilities
(2) Rainwater harvesting systems that supply handwashing stations and drinking water
(3) Fun, age-appropriate hygiene education that creates lifelong habits
We don’t just build — we teach. Students help maintain the systems, learning water conservation and environmental care. Parents and teachers receive training so every project lasts for years. We also test smart, low-cost innovations like solar pumps and efficient irrigation — solutions we’re now scaling to villages and entire communities.
Project Highlights So Far
Rain gardens + infiltration trenches to capture runoff and prevent flooding.
Catchment systems supplying water for handwashing and drinking stations.
Improved latrines and hygiene facilities for safer, cleaner schools.
All our designs are intentionally low-tech and low-cost — so schools and villages can maintain them easily for decades.
Every action — big or small — brings clean water and safe sanitation to more children and families.
